In barefoot footwear, the toe area should feel noticeably wider than in conventional shoes - your toes should lie flat without touching the edges. The leather softens and adapts to your foot with wear, but the fit should feel comfortable from the first day. If you're between sizes or have a wider forefoot, the Wide fit is worth considering.
